Jasper Colin is running several key initiatives across the market research process, everything from insights strategy and study design through fielding, data processing, analysis, and final delivery. Each one needs real, practical expertise, not generalist support, so we're building a bench of Subject Matter Experts who can bring that to the table. We're hiring across qualitative and quantitative healthcare, consumer, and B2B research. Your background matters more than your job title. We want people who've spent their careers on the client or buyer side of research, in brand teams, category insights, or research procurement, and people who've built theirs on the supplier side, at full service or boutique agencies, data collection and panel companies, and fielding operations. If you have real, deep experience in a specific corner of this industry, there's a good chance we have an initiative that needs exactly that. This is contract work supporting active initiatives, and for the right people, it can turn into a full-time role once the engagement ends.

Why Jasper Colin

Jasper Colin is a high-growth, global data intelligence firm that helps organizations across  B2B, Consumer, and Healthcare landscapes make better decisions faster through integrated solutions which bring together strategy, execution, data science, and story-telling.  By combining next generation technology with deep research expertise, Jasper Colin delivers the speed modern businesses demand without sacrificing the quality their decisions depend on.

Since its founding in 2008, Jasper Colin has worked with the largest corporate brands and the leading agencies and consultancies who are transforming the market research industry.  Behind the company’s success is the belief that to have a lasting impact on the industry, you need to move fast and always think about what is next to meet customer needs.

Jasper Colin is laser focused on bringing together highly talented individuals who are supported and empowered to own their work every day.  We believe in the constant investment into growth and ensuring everyone on the team has the resources necessary to be successful.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

At the close of each engagement under this initiative, Jasper Colin will have:

  • A finished, clearly documented piece of work in your area that meets the bar for this initiative and is ready for the next phase, or to go in front of a client.
  • Clear documentation of the decisions, standards, and judgment calls you made along the way, so the work holds up under review.
  • A working relationship that, when it makes sense, is ready to extend, grow in scope, or turn into a full time role.
  • Real proof that your specific background, in healthcare, consumer, or B2B, on the client side or the supplier side, was put to use on something real.

SPECIALIZATION TRACKS

We're hiring across seven specialization tracks that span the whole research process. Most people fit mainly into one track, though plenty of candidates have experience across two or three. Let us know which track (or tracks) match your background when you apply.

Specialization TrackWhat You Have Experience With
Insights & Research StrategyYou've designed and reviewed research approaches, turned business questions into strong study designs, and made sure the methodology holds up against category standards and client goals.
Project & Program ManagementYou've managed timelines, budgets, vendors, and people across a study or program, from kickoff all the way through delivery.
Partner & Vendor ManagementYou've identified, vetted, onboarded, and managed the sample, panel, data collection, or fielding partners a research program depends on, including negotiating rates and keeping an eye on quality over time.
Qualitative Research & ModerationYou've moderated interviews, focus groups, or online qualitative sessions, written discussion guides, and turned what people said into insight someone can actually act on.
Quantitative Analysis & ReportingYou've built analysis plans, reviewed statistical output for accuracy, and put together reports and presentations a client would be glad to see.
Survey ProgrammingYou've built, tested, and checked survey instruments across platforms, and caught logic, quota, or data problems before and during fielding.
Data Processing & QualityYou've cleaned and validated incoming data, caught quality problems, and fixed issues before they made it downstream.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES & DELIVERABLES

No matter your specialization, everyone we bring on through this initiative will:

  • Bring real, practical expertise to the specific research challenges your initiative is facing, the kind of judgment that only comes from years of direct experience in your category and function.
  • Own the quality of your work from start to finish, from approach through final deliverable, holding it to the standard a client or internal stakeholder would expect.
  • Document your approach, standards, and key decisions clearly enough that someone else on the initiative could pick up the work and understand exactly how and why you did it.
  • Work closely with Jasper Colin's internal teams, and directly with client stakeholders where that makes sense.
  • Flag risks, gaps, or issues early, rather than letting them surface further down the line.

KPIS & PERFORMANCE SCORECARD

This is a three month engagement, and we take KPIs seriously, not as vague performance talk. Every two weeks, you'll sit down with your Initiative Lead to go over your KPIs, your progress, and your reporting together, so nothing waits until the end to surface. The categories below apply across every specialization track. Exact targets, weighting, and cadence get finalized with your Initiative Lead before you start, and they hold for the length of the engagement. If you're exceeding your KPIs, you're the first person we call about extending the work, taking on more scope, or moving into a full time role.

KPI CategoryWhat It MeasuresHow It's Set
Quality & AccuracyError rates, requests for revisions, and feedback on the work you deliver.Benchmarked against category standards for your track at the start
TimelinessWhether you deliver on time against the milestones and deadlines you agree to.Set together with your Initiative Lead based on scope
Documentation & HandoffHow complete and clear your documented decisions, standards, and processes are.Checked at each milestone review
Stakeholder SatisfactionFeedback from internal teams, and from client stakeholders where that applies.Collected at milestone and closing reviews
Vendor & Partner PerformanceThe quality, responsiveness, and reliability of the partner relationships you manage, where that applies.Tracked through partner scorecards, reviewed every two weeks

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least seven years of real, practical experience in one or more of the specialization tracks above, in healthcare, consumer, or B2B research, or across more than one of those categories.
  • Experience on the client or buyer side of research, the supplier or agency side, or both. Data collection and panel companies, full service and boutique agencies, and brand side or category insights teams are all relevant backgrounds.
  • Experience working in US markets, global markets, or both, depending on the initiative.
  • The ability to own your area of work from start to finish and produce deliverables that are ready for a client to see, without a lot of oversight.
  • A track record of clear, defensible writing. Documentation and reporting are a real part of this work, not an afterthought.
  • Availability that matches the engagement's length and commitment level, which we'll confirm at offer.

HOW YOU WORK

  • You have a bias for action. You'd rather make a solid call today than wait a week for certainty that never fully shows up.
  • You own outcomes, not just tasks. You treat your piece of the initiative as something you're responsible for from start to finish, not just a list of instructions to follow.
  • You're comfortable with ambiguity. When a brief or a dataset is incomplete, you make the call, write down your reasoning, and adjust once you know more.
  • You fail fast and learn faster. A missed deadline or a decision that gets reversed is information, not a mark against your judgment. You correct course, and you don't make the same mistake twice.
  • You like building things from scratch, not just maintaining what's already there. Standing up a new process, a new partner relationship, or a new workstream is where you do your best work.
  • You write things down the way you'd want someone else to find them, because on an engagement with several moving pieces, someone usually will need to.
  • You're motivated by work that actually matters, not just by clearing a queue. You want to see the real impact of your expertise on something that's actually happening.

ENGAGEMENT STRUCTURE & GROWTH PATH

  • Your contract: Three months, part time or full time depending on your track and the scope of the work.
  • Pay: Set based on your specialization, your seniority, and the category experience you bring, confirmed before you start.
  • What comes next: If you deliver against your KPIs, you're the first person we think of for extending the engagement, taking on more scope, or moving into a full-time role once the three months are up.

HOW TO APPLY

Qualified candidates should submit:

  • A resume or CV that highlights relevant experience, with specific mention of your specialization track (or tracks), the categories you've worked in (healthcare, consumer, B2B), and whether that experience is on the client or buyer side, the supplier or agency side, or both.
  • Complete this brief survey which will us align the right initiative to your background and experience- Application Survey
  • Two or three professional references who can speak to the quality and depth of your experience in your field.
