We are seeking an experienced Head of Online Research & Digital Insights to lead and shape our digital research strategy, drive innovation, and manage the delivery of actionable insights for our clients. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the design, execution, and analysis of online research projects, managing a team of researchers, and ensuring the highest standards in digital research methodologies. The Head of Online Research will play a critical role in expanding our digital research capabilities, staying ahead of industry trends, and fostering innovation in the delivery of digital insights.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategy & Leadership:
Drive the digital research and insights strategy, positioning the company at the forefront of emerging trends in the online research space.
Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of researchers, ensuring the successful execution of digital research projects.
Oversee the execution of online research initiatives, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with the highest quality standards.
Collaborate with senior management, business development, and sales teams to support the company’s growth objectives by identifying opportunities to expand digital research offerings and maximize sales.
2. Proposal Development & Client Engagement:
Develop compelling proposals for digital research projects that meet client needs and align with company capabilities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing expert consultation and guidance on digital research methodologies, and translating data insights into actionable business recommendations.
Present research findings and insights to clients, effectively communicating complex data in a clear and engaging way using visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
3. Research Methodology & Best Practices:
Oversee the design and execution of digital research projects, including market research, online surveys, web analytics, and other digital data sources.
Implement best practices for data collection, analysis, and reporting to ensure that digital research projects generate high-quality, actionable insights.
Apply advanced statistical techniques and research design methodologies to deliver comprehensive insights and solutions to clients.
Provide internal teams and clients with expert knowledge of digital research methodologies, online analytics, and the latest trends in the market research industry.
4. Team & Project Management:
Manage the daily operations of the digital research team, ensuring tasks and projects are completed in accordance with project plans and timelines.
Monitor project progress, providing guidance and support to researchers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality insights.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution and alignment with client objectives.
5. Innovation & Product Development:
Identify opportunities for innovation in digital research methodologies, including the launch of new digital products (e.g., DIY research tools, data products, or research solutions).
Drive the development and launch of innovative solutions that meet evolving client needs and enhance the company’s competitive advantage in the market.
6. Client Solutions & Growth:
Work closely with senior management and the sales team to identify and drive new business opportunities, including upselling and cross-selling digital research services.
Provide expert consultancy to clients on how to best utilize digital research to achieve business objectives and improve decision-making.
Ensure that all client interactions are focused on providing strategic, actionable insights that deliver measurable business impact.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
15+ years of experience in market research or digital insights, with a proven track record of managing large-scale online research projects and leading high-performing teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Market Research, Business, Statistics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Proven experience in a leadership role within a market research or digital insights environment, with expertise in digital research methodologies and online analytics.
Skills & Expertise:
Strong expertise in digital research methodologies, including online surveys, web analytics, digital journey analysis, and real-time data collection.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, and the ability to translate complex research data into clear, actionable insights using charts, graphs, and dashboards.
Advanced knowledge of statistical analysis and research design techniques, with the ability to apply this knowledge in real-world business contexts.
Strong proficiency in SPSS, Microsoft Office products, and other market research tools.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver compelling insights and recommendations to clients, both technical and non-technical.
