Carnivores may remember tasting and then rejecting a veg sandwich because it didn't match the taste or the nutrition they were seeking from meat. But that is a thing of the past now. Veg food options have now come closer to mimicking their meat counterparts on all aspects – look, taste and nutrient profiles – while also being environmentally friendly in their production.  

The growing popularity of plant-based foods is leading to more consumers shifting their food consumption pattern. This phenomenon presents many opportunities for brands and retailers, forcing them to respond quickly to meet consumers' interest.
